Early Childhood Education and care
Early childhood education and care qualifications (sometimes known as child care qualifications) prepare students for employment in regulated care services such as child care, long day care, kindergartens, occasional care and family day care. It is also a popular qualification for those working as nannies, children's programs and running playgroups.
A career in early childhood is extremely rewarding. You assume responsibility for nurturing young children's wellbeing and assisting in their social, emotional, physical and educational developmental needs. During these qualifications, students learn the roles and responsibilities to be employed in the job role, and undertake work placement so they will gain experience in the industry, whilst acquiring the knowledge and skills to work at this level.
