My name is Olga, and I am studying a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I have chosen to study with the ACCCO, because they have many years of experience in the industry, and because they have been very welcoming and supportive towards me from the very first time I came here.
During the classes, our trainer, Melinda Rumble, always explains the material in a simple and comprehensive way, with lots of visual examples, photos, and videos. We also get to see a lot of Melinda’s own resources: children’s books, toys, and sensory materials, such as natural wood, fabrics, and others. It is especially helpful when Melinda demonstrates how she would personally communicate with children on different occasions, for example, how she would read a book to a large group of children and keep them interested and engaged.
Those personal experiences are one of the reasons why I enjoy studying in class with the ACCCO, but even when I am outside of class, I always feel supported, because I always receive quick responses to my emails, and have all the resources and information I need. I am really happy that I chose to study with the ACCCO, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who is thinking about starting a career in Early Childcare.
I chose ACCCO initially due to their flexible and user-friendly enrolments on to the course I wanted, a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Other training centres had strict enrolment dates meaning I would have had to wait 6 months, with ACCCO enrolment is fortnightly, no time wasting, allowing me to get started on my journey into a new career.
My trainer Jenna, is extremely knowledgeable and supportive, understanding my training needs, directing me to my future goals within childcare. I receive very thorough training within the classroom environment, supported by phone or email whenever I have any questions.
I also like the fact that I was able to work at a pace I am comfortable with, there is flexibility to fit the course in with my life.
To complete the work experience component of the course, Jenna arranged for me to work in a childcare centre she felt would be most beneficial to me. Consideration was given to location, the team environment, the quality and experience of staff working there and the range of care provided to children.
From my first day working at the childcare centre, I was made to feel welcome and have become part of the team, receiving structured learning and involvement on a daily basis. Whilst I continue my studies, I have been given a full-time position that supports my Diploma and has set me on a clear path.
Alice is an exceptional trainer and presenter and has the ability to capture an entire audiences’ attention and sustain this for the entire duration of ACCCO training presentations.
Her experience in the EC setting is evident through her knowledge and relatability to what she presents.
ACCCO has customised training packages to suit our business requirements, being extremely receptive and willing to adapt based on feedback.
Our Service, Spring Farm ELC, has been working with Alice from ACCCO. We have been involved in several courses ranging from Supervision to Customer Service in Early Childhood, and these have always been tailor made to reflect best practice, current practice and our service’s needs. Their courses are well presented using different visuals, encompassing different learning styles and involving individual and group learning and thinking. Any questions that have presented are always well answered and further information or suggestions for the service given if required. We cannot thank you enough for supporting us and helping our service grow within the Early Childhood Sector.
After completing and getting a full time job after completing my certificate III at the end of 2019, I decided that I wanted to further extend on my understating and knowledge of working with children. My Assistant manager sent me through this course at the exact right time. I signed up and begun the training within 2 weeks it’s amazing how the course is carried out I feel very comfortable and supported in my learning.
After my first class with Jenna I was honestly so genuinely happy and excited about my course. Jenna delivers the course amazingly through the start, middle and end. I am engaged and ready to answer questions. Couldn’t ask for a better trainer with years of industry knowledge and a bubbly and fun can do attitude. I’ve had a few classes over the course with Melinda and her wealth of knowledgeleaves no stone unturned. A confident and direct trainer that can give you an informed anddedicated answer to any question. Very lucky to have the opportunity to get taught with both of these ladies.
I’m study Cert III in early childhood education and care with ACCCO at Perth Campus. I have a great support frommy amazing trainer Melinda. In my class not only learn new things but we always have fun, when I finish my Cert III I will come back for my diploma with ACCCO.
Lorraine has worked really hard for me as she gave me encouragements on how to move forward with my studies. She never gave up on me and kept me going as a mother would. I can’t thank her enough for all her help and guidance and support. She was always a phone call away and went above and beyond in guiding me towards the right direction. If I was ever stuck on a question, she tried not one but many different strategies to help me understand the question and let me answer my own question. A trainer I would want to have for any further studies in my life. She always has a beautiful smile on her face and would talk so calmly and politely. Thank you so much Lorraine!
Throughout 2019 and the beginning of this year ACCCO have been very supportive. My trainer Jess responded promptly to all of my questions (even though I understand she is quite busy). She was professional, highly informative, flexible, and caring. She has a very kind and approachable demeanor, which makes working with her an absolute pleasure. I cannot commend her enough on the way she helped me through my studies, as I’m sure she does for all of her students.
We have been using ACCCO as our RTO for 2 years now. Their assignments are in line with the skills needed in Day Care centres. The work-based projects allow my students to develop and demonstrate the skills needed to become a confident and effective educator. Communication through email and school visits are excellent. Materials for teachers, including comprehensive mark schemes are available to download from their website.
