Get a hands-on learning approach by interacting with your teachers, fellow students and practical materials.
Classes are held at the State Library of Western Australia (25 Francis St, Perth WA 6000) and are scheduled on Tuesdays from 9.30am to
2.30pm. These classes will not be held during School Holidays. We utilise a variety of learning techniques that will help you to learn
more easily in a fun, stimulating and interactive environment. Our courses have been designed to give you all the hands-on skills and
leading industry training to begin practising as an early childhood educator with a highly rewarding career.

Structured classroom learning
All classes are delivered by qualified, industry experienced Trainer Assessors who work closely with students to optimise their learning
experience. We simulate activities and tasks that are required to be performed within the workplace so that students gain confidence before
working in an early education centre or service. Students will attend class one day per week at the college and attend one day per week at
an ACECQA approved early childhood service for Vocational Placement (VP). There are also various days set for excursions, guest speakers,
art & craft days and block Vocational Placement. Please contact ACCCO for classroom timetables.
Classroom courses available
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113)
Students will attend class one day per week at State Library, and one day per week in an ACECQA approved early childhood service.
Class Hours: Tuesdays 9.30am - 2.30pm
Duration: Full Time: 28 weeks
Vocational Placement: Vocational Placement will be no less than 120 hours spread over the duration of the qualification.
Actual hours completed is dependent on student capability.
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113)
Students will attend class one day per week at State Library, and one day per week in an ACECQA approved early childhood service.
Class Hours: Tuesdays 9.30am - 2.30pm
Duration: Full Time: 65 weeks
(or 39 weeks if completed CHC30113)
Vocational Placement: Vocational Placement will be no less than 240 hours spread over the duration of the qualification.
Actual hours completed is dependent on student capability.

ONLY AVAILABLE FOR - CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
From 1 January 2020, under the new Lower fees, local skills program you'll pay only half of the standard course fees for a number of
specially selected qualifications. And for these selected qualifications, your course fees will be capped per year so that the maximum
course fees you'll pay will be only $1,200 or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or are eligible for a concession.
- The annual concession rate course fee cap is $400
- The annual non-concession rate course fee cap is $1,200
All students aged 15—24 years are eligible for the annual concession course fee cap of $400 per qualification/course per calendar year.

We have Flexible payment plans available which allow studnets to pay off their qualification over weekly, fortnightly or monthly
repayments.You may also be eligible for State Government funding, depending on

Government funding available
Jobs and Skills WA funding is only available for students who attend classroom study only. External students do not qualify for any funding
assistance with fees.
To enrol in this funding, students are required to attend class to achieve the required face-to-face training hours. Classes for 2020 are
due to commence from Tuesday 4th February 2020. Classes are held at the State Library of Western Australia (25 Francis St, Perth WA 6000)
and are scheduled on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2.30pm. These classes will not be held during School Holidays.

Vocational Placement
All students need to be employed or volunteering in an ACECQA
approved early childhood service to
complete the practical components of their qualification. The ACCCO Trainer Assessor may be able to support you to arrange this placement

Overlooking the Perth central business district the State Library of Western Australia is equipped with comfortable, modern furniture and
the latest in teaching facilities which include:

Training Location
The State Library of Western Australia is located in the Perth Cultural Centre in Perth, Western Australia. Centrally located near
business, food outlets, restaurants and shopping precincts with nearby transport networks and opportunities for part-time work whilst
studying. The Library is a short walk north of the Perth Railway Station and the Wellington Street Bus Station. Blue
CAT buses travel
close to the building with stops in Beaufort, Aberdeen and William Streets. Full time students may receive a 50% discount on local public
transport.
