The combination of the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course and CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is an extensive program that readily equips graduates with theoretical and practical skills to support a quality learning environment. The dual qualification also dramatically increases career and employment opportunities for graduates. Through the dual qualification, you will learn what it means to provide a program for babies, toddlers and young children and work in a position of responsibility.

Australian Child Care Career Options uses a range of selection criteria in our selection of students for entry into courses, but in general the potential student must:
2 Days Classroom Based Per Week, Plus 1 Day Vocational Placement Per Week
All courses offered to international students are delivered through classroom based study. The classes for Certificate II, Certificate III and Diploma courses are held at our Fortitude Valley campus in Brisbane. International Students attend classes two days per week at the college and spend one day per week at Vocational Placement. This is equates to a total of 20 contact hours per week. There are also various days allocated for excursions, special visitors, art and craft days and block Vocational Placement.
All classes are delivered by qualified, industry experienced Trainers Assessors. Our Trainer Assessors work closely with students to optimise their learning experience. We simulate activities and tasks that are required to be performed within the workplace to prepare students for work or placement in an early education centre or service.

Students must undergo a criminal history and working with children check prior to undertaking Vocational Placement in an early education service, or undertaking activities in any unit which may involve contact with children or young people (under 18). It is a requirement of the qualifications that students obtain a Blue Card upon commencement of study and hold a current Blue Card for the duration of enrolment in the qualification.

Some universities offer credit from the Diploma to enrol into Early Childhood Teaching qualifications. Alternatively, the CHC60215 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management is a great qualification for those aspiring to secure a management position in early childhood services.
