Through the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will be introduced to working in the field of early childhood. It is the minimum qualification to gain employment in ACECQA approved early childhood services and often the qualification studied for those wanting to begin their career in early childhood education.

ACCCO prides itself on maintaining solid quality relationships with reputable educational partners. Students who do not meet our English Language entry requirements may choose to study an English course at one of our English College Partners.
2 Days Classroom Based Per Week, Plus 1 Day Vocational Placement Per Week
All courses offered to international students are delivered through classroom based study. The classes for Certificate II, Certificate III and Diploma courses are held at our Fortitude Valley campus in Brisbane. All classes are delivered by qualified, industry experienced Trainers Assessors. Our Trainer Assessors work closely with students to optimise their learning experience. We simulate activities and tasks that are required to be performed within the workplace to prepare students for work or placement in an early education centre or service.
International Students attend classes two days per week at the college and spend one day per week at Vocational Placement. This is equates to a total of 20 contact hours per week. There are also various days allocated for excursions, special visitors, art and craft days and block Vocational Placement.
45 Weeks (2 study periods, one of 23 weeks, one of 22 weeks including 4 holiday weeks)
Students must undergo a criminal history and working with children check prior to undertaking Vocational Placement in an early education service, or undertaking activities in any unit which may involve contact with children or young people (under 18). It is a requirement of the qualifications that students obtain a Blue Card upon commencement of study and hold a current Blue Card for the duration of enrolment in the qualification.
All students in this qualification are allocated an ACCCO Trainer who will guide them through the qualification. Trainers are all qualified in early childhood education and have at least 5 years' experience completing the job you are wanting to hold. Trainers offer regular phone, email and face to face support so you always have help when you need it!
On completion of this qualification, you can gain credit into the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care to continue your education career. This means you only need an additional 15 units for the Diploma qualification.

Once you have made the decision to apply for a qualification you will need to complete an enrolment form and a Literacy, Language and Numeracy indicator (LLN).

Complete the Enrolment Form and prepare details of:

Your enrolment will be assessed on the information you have provided. Upon receiving all paperwork and supporting evidence a formal assessment of your eligibility and suitability for the qualification is conducted. You will be notified by an enrolments officer on the status of this application once your eligibility has been assessed.

ACCCO assesses the enrolment application. Once your application is approved you will receive a Letter of Offer to study with ACCCO which explains how to:
Student reads and accepts the conditions outlined in the Letter of Offer. Student fees are finalised – payment established. Upon receipt of your Signed Acceptance of Offer and payment of your deposit, ACCCO will issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).
If your enrolment application is accepted, you will receive a welcome email with a Confirmation of Enrolment attached, confirming acceptance into the qualification.
