What is WorkReady?
WorkReady is a South Australian government initiative that brings together funding for training, employment and skills activities. WorkReady is about targeting training and employment opportunities to the needs of people, strategic industries and regions.
Individuals need to meet course entry requirements and verify their eligibility for enrolment before being enrolled in a government subsidised training place.

Study Options
ACCCO offers a variety of delivery options that allows students to complete the qualification in a mode/s that suit individual learning requirements:
- Class: various locations across Australia
- External Study: Self paced (up to 24 months to complete). Study externally/online (study from home). You will have a dedicated Trainer Assessor who will visit you once a month to complete your face-to-face practical training.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to undertake training under the Qualification Quota WORKREADY program, prospective students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- aged 16 years or over and not enrolled at school
- reside or work in South Australia, and
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or
- a permanent Australian resident, or
- the holder of an eligible visa
- Successfully complete the Upfront Assessment (required level)

Cost to the Participant
If a person is eligible for funding under WorkReady, the South Australian Government will subsidise the costs of their accredited training, although a student contribution fee will be required. Places are strictly limited. The following student contribution fees will apply from the 28/01/2020 to 01/08/2020 or until places run out. Once funding has run out the fees will be calculated at the Fee-For-Service rate.

Am I eligible for Concession?
Students who hold any of the following concession cards at the time of their enrolment may be eligible to for a concession course fee rather than the standard full course fee:
- hold a health care card
- hold a pensioner concession card
- hold a pensioner concession card issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs
- are a prison inmate, a detainee, on remand, held in a South Australian institution in connection with the commission of an offence, or a child in a South Australian detention centre older than 16 years.
Please note: Proof of eligibility for concession must be demonstrated
prior to the commencement of training. If the concession is valid for the full enrolment period, then all eligible units commenced within
that period attract the concession rate. If the concession is valid for part of the enrolment period, then only eligible units commenced
prior to the expiry of the concession attract the concession rate.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is an assessment only process for experienced workers who are seeking formal recognition of their existing skills and knowledge. Read more
Credit Transfer
Credit transfer (sometimes known as advanced standing) is awarded when a student has completed the units required for a qualification at another Registered Training Organisation. This may reduce the amount of time it will take you to gain a qualification, and reduce the overall cost. ACCCO provides credit transfer free of charge. Read more

How to Apply
1. Choose Your Course
Once you have made the decision to apply for a qualification, check you meet:
- Minimum Age Requirement
- English Language & Academic Requirements
- Appropriate Visa Requirements
All students intending to use WorkReady funding will be required to demonstrate satisfactory language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) as part of your enrolment. This is completed at our SA office.

2. Prepare Your Application
Complete the online enrolment form, and upload details of:
- Colour copy of Passport or Driver’s Licence. (Proof of ID+ residency) - If passport provided please provide a copy of a bank statement or utility bill issued within the last 6 months showing your current residential address.
- Colour copy of either: current green Medicare card; Birth Certificate; current Australian passport; current New Zealand passport; or Australian citizenship certificate. (Proof of citizenship)
- Colour copy of Certificates and Statement Results for any previously attained or partially completed qualifications completed in or recognised in Australia.
3. Process of Your Application
Your enrolment will be assessed on the information you have provided. Upon receiving all paperwork and supporting evidence a formal assessment of your eligibility for government funding and suitability for the qualification is conducted. You will be notified by an enrolments officer on the status of this application once your eligibility has been assessed.
Our Enrolments team will contact you to arrange a time to complete the LLN assessment at our SA office.
Please
note that we are unable to finalise your enrolment until all required information and supporting evidence has been provided.
4. Letter of Offer
ACCCO assesses the enrolment application. When deemed a successful enrolment application, the student will be issued a Letter of Offer to study with ACCCO. Student reads and accepts the conditions outlined in the Letter of Offer. Student fees are finalised – payment established.
5. Confirm Your Enrolment
If your enrolment application is accepted, you will receive a welcome email with a Confirmation of Enrolment attached, confirming acceptance into the qualification. It is important to check your junk or spam folder as this email can end up here sometimes. If not received, please contact our enrolments team on 1300 139 406 during business hours. Your Trainer Assessor will contact you to undertake an induction and commence the learning program.
Please note that while ACCCO makes every opportunity to support each student throught the duration of study to achieve their qualification, successful completion of the qualification and employment outcomes are the responsibility of the student.
