The Certificate 3 Guarantee aims to help Queenslanders without a post-school qualification to gain one. The Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidises your vocational education and training (VET) course fees to help you complete your first post-school certificate III level qualification and increase your skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance your career. It also supports school students to access training and Queensland's Year 12 graduates to transition to employment by providing free training in high priority qualifications.
The Certificate 3 Guarantee means that instead of paying for the full cost of a training course, you will pay a reduced amount to make the training more affordable and accessible. For further information please refer to the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training website here.

Please note you will no longer be eligible for subsidized training under Certificate 3 Guarantee once you have completed a certificate level III qualification.
*Students who hold a certificate III, higher level qualification or bachelor degree awarded by a tertiary college or university in Australia are NOT eligible to access the Certificate 3 Guarantee as these qualifications form part of, and are nationally recognised within, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). (Note: certificate III qualifications completed at secondary school are not counted).
Students who hold a Certificate level I to Advanced Diploma qualification issued prior to the introduction of the Australian Qualifications Framework in 1995 are eligible to access the Certificate 3 Guarantee.

If a person is eligible for funding under Certificate 3 Guarantee, the Queensland Government will subsidise the costs of their accredited training, although a student contribution fee will be required. The fee may be paid on your behalf by an employer or a third party but cannot be paid by the training provider.

concession is valid for the full enrolment period, then all eligible units commenced within that period attract the concession rate. If the

Credit transfer (sometimes known as advanced standing) is awarded when a student has completed the units required for a qualification at another Registered Training Organisation. This may reduce the amount of time it will take you to gain a qualification, and reduce the overall cost. ACCCO provides credit transfer free of charge. Read more
Students can choose to pay up to $1500 of their student contribution fees upfront at enrolment. Further payments of up to $1500 can be made at later stages of a student's enrolment. ACCCO accepts the following payment methods:
Students can choose to enter into a payment plan arrangement to pay off their student contribution fees in smaller amounts over a period of time.
Students entering into an ACCCO payment plan have the option of fortnightly or monthly payments. Students with contributions fees of over $1500 can also request a weekly payment plan.
Payment plans require an initial upfront payment towards their student contribution fees to set up the plan, and then each payment period a recurring payment amount is direct debited from the student's nominated account.
Students are given recurring payment amount options when setting up their plan.

Students that are not receiving any funding for their course can choose to pay as they go. This is where a student will pay the fees for
each unit of competency prior to commencing it.
Once you complete a qualification through this program you will no longer be eligible for further subsidised training under this program.

Once you have made the decision to apply for a qualification you will need to complete an enrolment form and a Literacy, Language and Numeracy indicator (LLN).

Your enrolment will be assessed on the information you have provided. Upon receiving all paperwork and supporting evidence a formal assessment of your eligibility for government funding and suitability for the qualification is conducted. You will be notified by an enrolments officer on the status of this application once your eligibility has been assessed.
Please note that we are unable to finalise your enrolment until all required information and supporting evidence has been provided.
ACCCO assesses the enrolment application. When deemed a successful enrolment application, the student will be issued a Letter of Offer to study with ACCCO. Student reads and accepts the conditions outlined in the Letter of Offer. Student fees are finalised – payment established.
If your enrolment application is accepted, you will receive a welcome email with a Confirmation of Enrolment attached, confirming acceptance into the qualification. It is important to check your junk or spam folder as this email can end up here sometimes. If not received, please contact our enrolments team on 1300 139 406 during business hours. Your Trainer Assessor will contact you to undertake an induction and commence the learning program.
