What is JobTrainer?
The JobTrainer Fund is a joint initiative between the ACT and Australian Governments to support a rapid increase in free training places for young people aged 17-24 (who are not enrolled in or attending a school or college, or another program leading to completion of year 12) and job seekers in areas of skills need and/or employment growth. The training is intended to support these cohorts into employment as Australia emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
JobTrainer is a jointly funded initiative of the Commonwealth, state and territory governments.
What can I study with ACCCO under JobTrainer funding?
At a minimum students must be:
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand passport holder resident for more than 6 months, or
- An eligible visa holder, and
- Living or working in the ACT
In addition to the above a student must, at the time of enrolment, be:
a. A person aged 17-24 years of age, regardless of employment status, who is not enrolled in or attending a school or college, or another program leading to the completion of year 12, or
b. A job seeker who is:
i. Out of work; and/or
ii. In receipt of income support payments.
Cost to the Participant
Training under this funding is fee free.
