CHC40113 CertifIcate IV in School Age Education and Care

The Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care is an ideal qualification for gaining employment in Outside School Hours Care, Vacation Care and School Age Recreation.  Students will also undertake a vocational placement whilst studying this course, either as a volunteer or as a worker.

ACCCO students have a personal knowledgable trainer and receive up to date relevant training. Students will graduate with a qualification they can be proud of and start employment with confidence in their knowledge and capabilities.

Entry requirements

A sound understanding of English is required.

Study options and durations

  • Apprenticeships and Traineeships - as per the training contract
  • Class - FullTime (24 weeks) or Part Time (48 weeks)
  • External Study - self paced with your own trainer assigned to support your study.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - self paced

This qualification attracts a wide range of funding assistance to reduce the study costs which may include Traineeships, Centrelink payments and Government funding (with some having very little cost to the student).

Fees for students not eligible for funding assistance: 

  • Enrolment fee: $300 including your first unit
  • External study: $160 per unit (pay as you are ready to learn)

  • Credit Transfer: FREE
