Skills Industy Council are calling for expressions of interest for funding for projects under the Enterprise Based Productivity Places Program (EBPPP). Centres may express their interest in upskilling their staff which will be presented to DEEWR for consideration of funding.

In Children’s Services, the following qualifications will be funded:

Certificate III in Children's Services
Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care)
Diploma of Children's Services (Early childhood education and care)
Diploma of Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care)
Advanced Diploma of Children's Services

Students may also eligible for a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment under our sister college Australian Adult Training Services.

Qualifications will be part-funded. The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relation's (DEEWR) contribution will depend on the size of the business, with organisations with less than 100 employees receiving 90 per cent of their training costs, those with between 100 and 199 receiving 75 percent, and those with 200 or more employees receiving 50 per cent of their training costs.

Expressions of interest to receive funding can be lodged ASAP for funding in February. Be sure to list Australian Child Care Career Options under "Has the RTO been identified?" box if you're wanting to study Children's Services qualifications and Australian Adult Training Services if you're wanting to study Training and Assessment.

Industry Skills Council (organising body) has also recommended that services fill out the sevenscope training needs scan to assist their application. This tool will assist in identifying the Council to identify where the need is and they will use this to assist in allocation of funds.
