CHC02 courses end soon. Don't miss out!!!

Q What courses does this effect?
A:
Only the following courses apply:
* CHC20202 Certificate II in Community Services Work
* CHC30402 Certificate III in Children's Services
* CHC40202 Certificate IV in Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care)
* CHC50302 Diploma of Children's Services
* CHC50202 Diploma of Children's Services (Outside School Hours Care)
* CHC60202 Advanced Diploma of Children's Services
If you are enrolled in a course that ends in '08' such as CHC30708, this does not apply to you

Q: How do I know what course I'm doing?
A: Look on your enrolment paperwork. The qualification code should be listed. If you're an ACCCO student and you're not sure, click here

Q: What happens if I don't finish the course this year? Can I get an extension?
A:  No. This course has been replaced by the new CHC08 courses in 2009 and CHC02 courses are strictly in a teach out mode. All students not completing the CHC02 courses will need to transition to the CHC08 courses in 2012 in order to complete their qualification.

Q. What will it mean for me to change to a CHC08 qualification?
ACCCO will apply the mapping rules provided in the CHC08 training package and as a result, some units completed under the CHC02 course may need to be upgraded, or don't apply. This WILL mean additional study and money for almost every student. However, students will also receive a more updated qualification by completing a CHC08 qualification.

Q. Will there be problems for me if I finish the CHC02 considering it is an older qualfication?
If you've studied the CHC02 with ACCCO, we've ensured you've got current information in this course eg we've provided you with current legislation even if the CHC02 refers to older ones.

Q. Can I complete the final units in my CHC02 qualification through external study, RPL, by attending class or online?
ACCCO can offer CHC02 units by RPL and external paper based study.  These are not available by attending class or eLearning.

Q: How do I re-enrol?
A: Contact ACCCO without delay!  There is little time left to compete these qualifications. We will waiver the re-enrolment fee if you mention our recent advertising

Q: What if I've done units in a CHC02 with another college? Can I still enrol with ACCCO?
Yes. ACCCO will honour any unit completed with another college that is listed on a Statement of Attainment. More information about credit transfer is found here.

Q: Will there be enough time to complete the CHC02 qualification?
This really depends on how many units that are left for completion. Students with many units left may find they will need to dedicate alot of time to study over the next few months in order to complete this. ACCCO can advise you on the practicalities of completing this given your personal circumstances

Q: How come I wasn't advised earlier the CHC02 qualifications were expiring?
ACCCO commenced notifiying current students of this change in 2009 and have given numerous reminders such as this one from head office and Trainers. We have endeavoured to contact all previously enrolled students though email, letters, advertising and news items, but understand that some people have changed contact details meaning we haven't been able to notify you. If you're reading this and know of someone it may effect, please let them know. You don't want them to miss out on the opportunity of completing a qualification they started!!!
